Description
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Manage and monitor network, systems and services
- Ensure high availability of platforms that support business services.
- Draft and maintain service documentation and processes
- Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environments
- Perform routine audits of systems and software
- Determine bottlenecks, enhance automation of repetitive tasks
- Provide 2nd/3rd level support for the server/systems infrastructure
- Work with other System Engineers to plan, design and improve services
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with Linux
- University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar faculties.
- Willing to work oncall as necessary to meet organizational needs
- Solid understanding of IP networking.
- Strong scripting skills, Python is a plus
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies such as RAID, Logical Volume Manager, SAN etc.
- Must possess experience in installation, configuration and operation of company-wide services such as Apache/SSL, DHCP, DNS, NFS, sendmail etc.

- Experience with virtualization technologies (Xen, KVM)
- Experience with DB (mainly postgresql) administration
- Experience with Cloud deployment (mainly AWS/EC2)
