System Engineer
Salary: $3,500 – $5,000 per month
Your Role:
Project Coordination & On-Time Delivery
Track and drive technical project schedules from kick-off to handover, proactively removing roadblocks to ensure on-time milestone delivery.
Coordinate cross-functional requirements between internal software developers, infrastructure/network teams, hardware vendors, and client project teams.
Provide regular project status updates, progress reports, and risk escalations to higher management.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project and system documentation, including System Architecture & Design Documents, On-Site Acceptance Tests (OSAT), User Acceptance Tests (UAT), and technical/user operation manuals.
2. End-to-End System Integration & Deployment
Deploy, configure, and stage end-to-end solutions across diverse environments—including current Windows Server setups and modern Linux-based platforms (on-premise servers, virtual machines, and hybrid cloud environments).
Verify end-to-end data flow: device ingest, network protocols, backend database sync, third-party subsystem APIs, and front-end C3 operational dashboards.
Carry out hands-on site integration, commissioning, and validation at customer premises, server rooms, or operational control centres as project needs dictate.
3. Product Testing & Evaluation
Conduct technical evaluation, benchmarking, and proof-of-concept (POC) testing on new third-party hardware, off-the-shelf software tools, and peripheral devices to assess performance, compatibility, and suitability for integration.
Perform structured integration and functional testing on proprietary software releases prior to site deployment.
4. Troubleshooting & Technical Problem-Solving
Exercise critical thinking and analytical troubleshooting to diagnose integration faults across software services, operating systems, and network communication layers.
Act with strong personal initiative during on-site and staging phases to bridge technical gaps and coordinate swift resolutions with software developers.
About you:
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Competencies:
Operating Systems & Virtualization: Practical experience with Windows Server administration, paired with a solid foundation and interest in Linux environments; familiarity with enterprise virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) or containerization basics.
Storage & High Availability: Foundational knowledge of enterprise storage systems (e.g., SAN, NAS, direct storage), data backup strategies, system redundancy, and high-availability (HA) architectures.
System Fundamentals: Good working grasp of networking basics (IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, routing, firewall rules) and client-server architectures (REST APIs, databases).
Soft Skills:
Initiative & Drive: Self-starter who proactively anticipates project delays and takes ownership of technical outcomes requiring minimal/without needing step-by-step guidance.
Communication & Composure: Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) to liaise effectively between software developers, project managers, higher management, and external client stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset: Structured, methodical approach to troubleshooting end-to-end system issues.
Good-to-Have
Foundational exposure to video streaming concepts, IP cameras, or Video Management Systems (e.g., RTSP, ONVIF, video codecs, Milestone, Genetec).
Basic scripting abilities (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) for staging and test automation.
Exposure to Singapore public sector or critical infrastructure delivery standards.
Working Conditions
Primary base at company office with local travel to client sites, datacentres, or control rooms required based on project deployment and commissioning phases.
