System Engineer

We are looking for a System Engineer to manage our server infrastructure, operating systems, virtualization, and identity services in an on-premise environment. You will be responsible for keeping the infrastructure foundation stable, secure, and ready to support both internal needs and customer projects.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.

• Administer Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including hardening, patching, and user and access management.

• Deploy and manage the virtualization platform (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Proxmox and KVM).

• Administer Active Directory (domains, OUs, Group Policy, replication, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshoot related issues.

• Implement and manage federation services and Single-Sign-On (SSO) for internal applications.

• Manage the email server (Exchange, Zimbra and so on), including mail flow, anti-spam, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and troubleshooting.

• Manage certificates for AD, federation, and email services.

• Monitor performance and capacity (CPU, memory, storage, network).

• Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery for servers and VMs.

• Prepare technical documentation: architecture diagrams, SOPs, and maintenance reports.

• Provide technical support for project implementation, including customer-site deployment and maintenance.

• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers on the use and management of the implemented systems.

• Coordinate with the network and security teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a System Engineer.

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy), up to troubleshooting level.

• Proficient in Linux administration (command line, service management, basic shell scripting).

• Hands-on experience managing at least one virtualization platform: VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, or KVM.

• Understanding of basic storage (SAN/NAS, RAID, LUN) and networking (VLAN, basic routing, TCP/IP) concepts.

• Able to troubleshoot systematically and maintain clear documentation.

• Willing to work outside office hours, be on call, or work on-site as needed.

• Based in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing on-premise email servers.

• Basic understanding of system security (hardening, vulnerability management, CIS Benchmarks).

• Experience handling projects for enterprise or government institutions.

• Relevant certifications, such as RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft certifications, VMware VCP, or CompTIA Linux+.
