System Engineer
We are seeking a System Engineer to support and maintain Windows and Linux server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role involves system administration, incident management, patching, monitoring, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows and RHEL servers hosted on virtualized and cloud environments.
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and Group Policies.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability to meet service levels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests.
- Perform system patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage backup and recovery operations.
- Review logs and implement corrective actions where required.
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with application, network, security, and vendor teams on infrastructure-related issues and projects.
- Support change management activities and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.
- Knowledge of RHEL/Linux administration.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as Nutanix or Hyper-V.
- Exposure to AWS cloud services is advantageous.
- Familiarity with system monitoring, backup, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools will be an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to support after-hours activities when required.
