System Engineer

We are seeking a System Engineer to support and maintain Windows and Linux server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role involves system administration, incident management, patching, monitoring, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Windows and RHEL servers hosted on virtualized and cloud environments.
  • Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and Group Policies.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability to meet service levels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Manage backup and recovery operations.
  • Review logs and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with application, network, security, and vendor teams on infrastructure-related issues and projects.
  • Support change management activities and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.
  • Knowledge of RHEL/Linux administration.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as Nutanix or Hyper-V.
  • Exposure to AWS cloud services is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring, backup, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools will be an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to support after-hours activities when required.
