System Integration Engineer (IoT Application)

Responsibilities:

• Deployment, testing, and maintenance of underlying communication devices (IoT devics, PLCs, etc) and application for the local BU.
• Execute on-site low-level data collection, edge integration, and field deployment at local BU facilities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with local BU departments to ensure the seamless deployment and onboarding of AIoT platform functions.
• Integrate local factory automation systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and industrial equipment interfaces.
• Perform routine maintenance and technical troubleshooting for field-level IoT devices supporting the local BU’s AIoT platform.
• Assist the Smart Manufacturing R&D Center with the deploying, testing and commissioning new field devices and applications at local BUs.
• Manage system updates, firmware maintenance, and software upgrades for local field-level devices.
• Liaise and coordinate with our Business Unit in Taiwan and China on all matters in their native language.

Requirements:

• Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Application with minimum 1 year working experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, HBuilderX, C++, and C.
• Experience in OS configuration and administration across Window 10/11, Windows (2000/XP/7) and Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with database such as MySQL and SQL Server
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols, including TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-485 etc.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (Omron, Mitsubishi) and HMI integration.
• Familiar with industrial SCADA/HMI configuration software such as Advantech WebAccess.
• Proficient with remote access tools(Anydesk) and video conferencing platforms (Teams).
• Experience in utilizing AI tools (ChapGPT, Gemini) and open-developer platforms (GitHub).
• A good team player who possesses drive, resourceful, initiative and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills with ability to interact with BU in China & Taiwan.
• Positive and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced business environment.
• No Experience is required as training will be provided.
