Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced system manager to lead the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise IT infrastructure.
The role is responsible for managing a team of system engineers, ensuring high system availability, overseeing infrastructure upgrades, driving operational excellence, and providing technical leadership across Windows, VMware, networking, and security environments.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field;
- Has 6+ years of hands-on systems infrastructure experience with 3+ years leading a team of at least 3 system engineers;
- Strong administration of Windows Server 2019+, Windows 11, Active Directory (GPO, OU, and user administration), and Microsoft SQL Server 2019+;
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, virtualization, and infrastructure upgrades;
- Experience in Windows patch management (WSUS), Windows CA/SSL Certificates, antivirus solutions (Symantec SEP/SEPM, Trellix ePO), and backup & recovery;
- Good understanding of networking (Layer 2/3, routing, IPSec VPN), security concepts (PAM, EDR, RSA), and centralized logging tools (Splunk, Syslog);
- Experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and change management;
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills with the ability to mentor engineers.
Desired Skill-set
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of system engineers, providing technical guidance and operational oversight;
- Manage system availability, preventive maintenance, health checks, and monthly operational reporting;
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, including servers, operating systems, VMware, network devices, and COTS platforms;
- Review, assess, and implement system changes, ensuring proper impact analysis, testing, and rollback planning;
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, server, virtualization, and network-related issues;
- Administer and maintain Windows Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware, and security infrastructure;
- Oversee patch management, SSL certificate lifecycle, antivirus management, backup & recovery, and centralized logging;
- Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, system performance, and adherence to operational best practices.
