System Support
Key Objective
This role is based in Thailand and provides day-to-day IT operations and system support across Chubb Thailand's IT Operations, ensuring the availability, performance and capacity of servers and business systems
Perform routine operations tasks including system monitoring, BAU task, while providing hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for 2nd tier support.
Work with Chubb Local and Regional teams and outsourced service providers to maintain system reliability and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor system performance and capacity across critical IT systems, proactively identifying and escalating potential issues to maintain availability and data integrity.
Manage and maintain servers and IT operations to ensure system availability and performance.
Perform application deployment on production web and application servers.
Provide support for a wide range of end-user IT issues as 2nd tier support.
Provide onsite IT support across multiple sites in Bangkok as required.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot incidents related to servers and applications before escalating tickets to 3rd tier support (Infra & Application Team).
Handle ad-hoc BAU requests, such as in-house software reports, billing, and performance and capacity monitoring tasks.
Handle ad-hoc telemarketing requests, such as running database scripts and blocking telephone numbers on the in-house application.
Coordinate with vendors and outsourced service providers for hardware, software, and infrastructure support.
Adherence to IT Governance, standards, regulations, IT Security Policy and Procedures at all times.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to: Senior Infrastructure & IT Operations Manager
Skills
Solid technical knowledge of servers, networks, and IT infrastructure, with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of networking concepts, including telephony and voice systems.
Undrestanding of Insurance business is an adventage.
Willingness and ability to provide on-call / 24x7 support coverage when required.
Problem-solving skills, taking an organized and logical approach to complex technical issues.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with a variety of different audiences.
Experience
3-5 years of relevant information technology working experience.
Experience in an IT operations, system administration, or infrastructure support role.
Hands-on experience with Windows Server systems and services, including Active Directory administration, NTFS file permissions, and file/web server management.
Experience troubleshooting application-related issues and middleware platforms such as IIS and Apache.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Knowledge of ITSM, including incident, problem, change, and service request management, to support efficient IT Operation and continuous improvement.
Ideally exposure in multi-cultural, virtual environment and work remotely
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in technology-related field or relevant experience in project implementation
Languages :
- Thai – fluent in speaking, writing and reading
- English – fair in speaking, writing and reading
Ability to manage and prioritize works efficiency
Ability to work under extensive pressure and deliver efficient results on time
