System Support Officer - Finance

Salary: $96-102k (based on experience) + Superannuation

Your new role

You will play a key role in supporting and optimising Uniting’s finance, payroll, and budgeting applications, which underpin core financial operations across the organisation.

Initially, you will develop a deep understanding of Uniting’s finance system landscape, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, payroll platform PayGlobal (MYOB), and budgeting and reporting systems such as Magiq. You will work closely with Finance, ICT & P&C and external vendors to ensure systems are reliable, well‑integrated, and meet business needs.

Once established, you will take ownership of day‑to‑day system support and continuous improvement, acting as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME) for finance applications. You will support users across Finance, Payroll, and Budgeting functions, promote effective system adoption, and help drive efficient, compliant financial processes.

Your skills and experience

You will have demonstrated experience supporting enterprise finance or commercial systems and working closely with finance‑focused stakeholders. Experience in a large, complex organisation will be highly regarded.

You will also bring:

  • Experience supporting finance, payroll, or budgeting systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of MYOB PayGlobal (highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of financial and payroll processes, including procurement, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Ability to translate system functionality into practical guidance for non‑technical users
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and service quality

A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Systems, or a related discipline is desirable
