System Technician - Dries

Shift Schedule:

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday- Friday

Hours: 7am-3:30pm (Flexible pending business needs)

  • Must be available to be on call (more to discuss during interview process)

Description of Role:

System Technicians are responsible for improving the safety, efficiency, and reliability of equipment through driving continuous improvement and defining and implementing new equipment and processes.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements

  • Submit an OAP form
  • 3+ years’ experience in a maintenance capacity within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience troubleshooting, maintaining, testing and repairing electrical systems and equipment
  • Proficient in software's including MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree or certificate
  • FDA Better Process Control certification
  • Forklift operation certification
  • Electrical experience: troubleshoot, test and repair single and 3 phase powered equipment, AC and DC controls systems, AC variable speed and servo drives, etc
  • PLC installation, programming and/or troubleshooting experience
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their controls
  • Steel fabrication experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
  • Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
  • Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

  • Create, coordinate and maintain the preventive maintenance schedule and planned work orders for equipment.
  • Identify recurring problems and develop solutions to reduce unplanned maintenance.
  • Install, repair, troubleshoot, and test electrical systems and equipment.
  • Train Shift Technicians on equipment maintenance.
  • Continuously work to improve system reliability and collaborate with Project Engineers on designing new systems.
  • Support Maintenance Department tasks using SAP, Weever, Microsoft apps, and participate in safety, housekeeping, and best practices.
  • Handle any additional requests as needed.
