Systems Administrator (ERP)

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator focused primarily on our ERP system to serve as the primary technical expert for our Deltek Vantagepoint environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, performance, and continuous optimization of our ERP platform, supporting critical business operations across the organization. As a key member of the Financial Systems team, you will lead the technical administration of Deltek Vantagepoint, including system configuration, upgrades, integrations, advanced troubleshooting, and reporting development. You will collaborate closely with Finance, IT, business stakeholders, and vendor partners to deliver a reliable, scalable, and high-performing ERP environment that supports the evolving needs of the business. This position offers a remote work arrangement within the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones.

How you can make an impact

• Serve as technical subject matter expert for the Deltek Vantagepoint ERP platform.
• Manage and support ERP environments, including production, testing, and disaster recovery.
• Lead technical activities related to system upgrades, patches, failover testing, and environment management.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, engaging vendors and internal stakeholders as needed to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support reporting, integrations, automation, and data validation processes.
• Conduct data audits and implement controls and procedures that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports to support operational and strategic reporting needs.
• Partner with Finance, Marketing, Business Development, and other teams to deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting solutions.
• Administer user security, access controls, roles, and permissions in accordance with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
• Safeguard sensitive business data by enforcing security best practices and maintaining system governance standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, customizations, processes, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
• Build strong partnerships with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to support system performance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• 4+ years of ERP systems administration experience with Deltek Vantagepoint/Vision or a comparable ERP Platform with a focus on Finance required.
• Advanced experience writing and optimizing SQL/T-SQL queries and stored procedures required.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSRS and/or PowerBI reports required.
• Experience with ERP integrations and data exchange between enterprise systems preferred.
• Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting financial, project management, or operational business processes.

Pay Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
