Systems Administrator
Summary
An intermediate Systems Administrator joins the internal IT team of an Australian engineering and construction business in Perth, owning day-to-day infrastructure, backup/DR, endpoint and identity administration across corporate and remote project sites. The role is centred on the Microsoft stack — M365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender XDR, SharePoint Online — with a small desktop support component.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Manager, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), you will take ownership of day-to-day systems administration across the business — working closely with the wider IS&T team, project sites and external vendors to keep infrastructure, security and endpoint systems running smoothly.
This is a genuinely varied role at the centre of the business's IT operations. Systems administration — infrastructure, network, cloud and project work — is the vast majority of the role, with a small amount of desktop support for corporate and project staff. It's suited to someone a few years into their systems administration career who wants ownership of real infrastructure, rather than someone coming purely from a desktop support background.
