About The Role

As a Systems Administrator at PolyNovo, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, secure and efficient operation of the company's end-user technology environment. Supporting employees across the business, you'll be responsible for onboarding new starters, managing devices and IT services, maintaining Microsoft 365 environments, and providing responsive technical support. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day operational support with proactive system maintenance and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision and manage user accounts, laptops, mobile devices and system access for new and existing employees.
  • Deliver IT onboarding and induction activities for new starters.
  • Manage the lifecycle of end-user devices, including procurement, deployment, refreshes and asset tracking.
  • Monitor and maintain Microsoft 365 services, backups and system availability.
  • Ensure workstation patching and compliance standards are maintained across the business.
  • Support Microsoft Intune, Defender and endpoint management activities.
  • Provide Level 1 technical support, including priority and executive user requests, while liaising with external managed service providers when required.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot end-user devices, applications, mobile devices, connectivity and meeting room technology.
  • Monitor and coordinate maintenance of CCTV and audiovisual systems.
  • Manage IT inventory and equipment stock levels to support business operations.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, support procedures, asset records and configuration information.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding incidents, service requests and planned IT activities.
  • Contribute to compliance, quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related technology discipline, or equivalent formal IT qualifications.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Systems Administrator, IT Support or similar role.
  • Experience supporting end-user computing environments, including account administration, laptop deployment, mobile device management and user onboarding.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments and Windows-based endpoints.
  • Experience with device patching, system compliance, endpoint management and device refresh programs.
  • Experience monitoring backups, conducting restoration testing and working with managed service providers.
  • Proven experience maintaining IT documentation, asset records and operational procedures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small IT team.
