Systems Administrator (Retail Focus)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Retail Store Support (Primary)

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for retail store operations, encompassing POS systems, workstations, printers, and network connectivity.

• Coordinate hardware deployments, system configurations, routine maintenance, and end-of-life device replacements.

• Configure seed files for the installation and deployment of POS systems.

• Plan and configure hardware, networks, and POS infrastructure to support new store openings and permanent closures.

• Manage service level agreements (SLAs) with outsourced store support vendors, overseeing non-office support, hardware spare part replacements, and inventory management.

• Prepare operational reports, maintain accurate hardware inventory records, and generate backup status and incident summaries.

2. Systems Administration (Secondary)

• Support and maintain Windows and Linux server infrastructures, including virtual machines and cloud-based services.

• Administer Active Directory, DNS, system backups, and corporate security policies.

• Manage corporate email infrastructure (Exchange, SMTP) and file-sharing systems (DFS, SharePoint, OneDrive).

• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, PBX systems, network equipment, and overall network security architecture (VLAN/WAN).

• Deploy system patches, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage disaster recovery protocols.

• Document operational procedures, helpdesk workflows, and incident management processes.

• Oversee software and hardware procurement, system upgrades, and IT asset inventory.

• Assist IT management in the execution and implementation of ad-hoc IT projects.

Job Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Retail Support Engineer, Systems Administrator, or in a similar technical capacity.

• Demonstrated expertise in delivering retail store IT support.

• Proficiency in LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewall management, network security, Microsoft 365, Domain Group Policy, and Active Directory Services is highly preferred.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Alibaba Cloud), server virtualization platforms (Windows, Linux), storage and backup solutions, SSL certification, and disaster recovery planning is advantageous.

• Strong incident diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.

• Knowledge of IT security policies, industry best practices, and security tools is preferred.

• Professional certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, VMware, AWS, CCNA/CCNP, or CISSP are a strong plus.
