We’re partnering with a growing organisation looking for a System Administrator to join their Melbourne-based infrastructure team on a permanent basis.

This is a hands-on, mid-level role where you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation and support of the local systems environment, while also working closely with infrastructure teams across the APAC, EMEA and Americas regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and identity/access management.
  • Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualisation environments.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, including restore testing.
  • Maintain endpoint management, security and patching across servers and devices.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to infrastructure alerts and incidents.
  • Troubleshoot L1/L2/L3 systems issues and escalate complex issues where required.
  • Maintain system documentation, runbooks and configuration records.
  • Collaborate with regional and global infrastructure and security teams.
About You You’ll ideally bring:
  • 3–5 years’ experience in Systems Administration or IT Infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools such as Veeam or Commvault.
  • Exposure to endpoint management tools such as SCCM or Intune.
  • Working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG or Nagios.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira or similar ITSM platforms.
  • Basic scripting or automation skills using PowerShell or Bash.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
This is a great opportunity for a System Administrator looking to take ownership of a local infrastructure environment while gaining exposure to a broader global technology function.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
On-call: Regular rotation with senior systems engineering support

If you’re an experienced System Administrator looking for a hands-on role with a mix of infrastructure, identity, virtualisation, security and cloud exposure, we’d love to hear from you.
