UNCOMN is seeking Systems Administrators to:
  • Support the administration, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of (cloud) infrastructure supporting the GDSS program.
  • Assist with administering and configuring infrastructure, including resource provisioning and monitoring.
  • Monitor cloud environments and assist with troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Assist with implementing automated solutions, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), to streamline cloud operations.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and engineering teams to support the integration and operational readiness of cloud applications.
  • Perform routine patching, updates, configuration changes, and other maintenance activities.
  • Follow established cloud security, configuration, and operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain documentation of cloud configurations, operational procedures, and incident activity.
  • **This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in Swansea, IL every Wednesday. Additional onsite or on-base work will be required during normal work hours or (rotating) on-call hours to support patching, secure-side issues, incidents, and service disruptions.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in system administration, infrastructure operations, or similar within a cloud environment.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
  • Must be comfortable meeting DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF)/8140 requirements, obtaining professional certifications as required by the client/contract, as-needed.
Preferred
  • Active DoW security clearance.
  • Prior experience supporting USTRANSCOM, AMC, Air Force, or other DoW environments.
  • Prior experience using or supporting GDSS.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ and/or Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related course of study from an accredited college or university.
  • Familiarity with IaC, DevOps, and/or Cloud One.
