Systems Analyst
Summary
Systems Analyst in Dublin supporting a client's Technical Solution Delivery Team: analysing existing systems, gathering and documenting business/technical requirements, producing user stories, diagrams and artefacts, and helping the Solution Architect document technical architecture. Requires relational database knowledge (MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL) and text formats (JSON, XML).
This is a new requirement for a Systems Analyst to support our clients Technical Solution Delivery Team, which develops and maintains business-critical systems for internal and external customers and is responsible for the Solution Architecture discipline (defining/refining the Target Technical Architecture and Standards and Principles). The role bridges business needs and technological solutions on a full-time basis.
Main Responsibilities:
• Understand and analyse existing systems/business processes.
• Work with stakeholders to gather/translate business and technical requirements into documentation.
• Create artefacts such as user stories, documentation, diagrams, and models.
• Review third-party artefacts and provide feedback to Solution Architect.
• Support Development and QA teams throughout development/testing.
• Support the Solution Architect in developing/documenting Technical Architecture.
• Provide input to project/resource planning, budgeting, and implementation.
Key Requirements:
• Experience gathering user requirements and translating into user stories.
• Experience developing project artefacts (Data Dictionaries, API Guides, Release Notes etc.).
• Experience documenting best practices/procedures for the Systems Analyst role.
• Experience supporting Solution Architect/Technical Architect in defining/documenting Technical Architecture.
• Experience reviewing third-party artefacts and providing feedback.
• Knowledge of databases including Relational Data Design (MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL).
• Knowledge of widely used text formats (JSON, XML).
• Strong communication skills in technical and non-technical environments.
• Ability to quickly research and learn new technologies, tools and techniques.
