Systems Analyst
Summary
Systems Analyst at an IT services firm, analysing, maintaining and improving clients' IT systems and business processes. Day to day: gathering requirements, investigating incidents in HaloPSA, reviewing ThreatLocker security configs, and administering Microsoft 365 and Azure, plus testing/UAT and documentation.
Salary: $80,000 – $89,000 per year
About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Analyst to analyse, maintain and improve our client's IT systems and business processes. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders to identify system requirements, resolve technical issues, recommend appropriate system solutions, and conduct testing to ensure that system changes meet business needs and implement efficient, secure technology solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for system improvements.
- Gather and document business requirements, system specifications and workflows.
- Analyse and investigate IT incidents and service requests recorded in HaloPSA to identify recurring issues, system deficiencies and opportunities for process and system improvements.
- Review ThreatLocker application control and security configurations to identify configuration issues and recommend improvements to meet business requirements.
- Conduct system testing, UAT and quality assurance for system changes.
- Prepare technical documentation, user guides and training materials.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve system performance, security and operational efficiency.
- Analyse Microsoft 365 configurations, user access requirements and application functionality to identify system issues and recommend appropriate configuration changes.
- Assist with Microsoft Azure administration, including cloud resources, identity management, access controls and system configurations, as applicable to the business environment.
- Investigate and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, cloud services, user access and system integration issues.
About you
- Qualifications in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline, or relevant experience.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, HaloPSA and ThreatLocker.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
