Systems Analyst / Technical Writer (hybrid)
Description
SafeDay (DolphinDynamics Labs) is a profitable SaaS company headquartered in Singapore. Our platform protects frontline workers at some of the world’s largest high-risk operations, processing millions of safety checks monthly across 100+ sites. Eight years in and expanding.
We are hiring a Systems Analyst / Technical Writer to join our Singapore team and work directly with experienced colleagues and the founders. You will be part of our integrated team, working alongside developers through the full development cycle. Your job is to understand how the platform works and explain it clearly to the people who use it.
Our users are frontline workers and site leaders at mining, energy and heavy industry sites. Many work in remote locations with poor connectivity, and the app works offline. They are not office workers. Documentation and training need to be short, clear and practical. Most workflows in our app are configured through our in-house form engine, so you will learn the platform in depth.
What you will do
- Analyse user requests, troubleshoot issues and write them up clearly so the development team can resolve them quickly
- Write and maintain user guides, knowledge base articles and release notes
- Create training material, presentations, diagrams and short video tutorials
- Peer test new content and features as they are built
- Run release testing across devices before each release goes live
- Work with the development team to understand new features and workflows before they ship
- Contribute to product design discussions with a focus on usability for frontline users
- Help translate app content and documentation
What we are looking for
- 3+ years writing product documentation, technical guides or training material
- Experience analysing and documenting how software systems and workflows work
- Excellent written and spoken English. Clear, simple writing is the core of this role
- Mandarin, French or Mongolian is a strong plus. You will use it to support users and help translate app content
- Able to explain complex concepts simply
- Able to create diagrams and short video tutorials
- Comfortable with web and mobile apps across iOS, Android and desktop browsers
- Attention to detail
- You use AI tools to work faster, not to think for you. We use Claude Enterprise. Every guide, release note and reply you publish must be accurate and checked by you
Nice to have
- Experience with software testing or QA
- Experience in SaaS, safety tech or B2B product environments
- Experience with Jira, Confluence or a similar tool
- Experience in safety, mining or industrial environments
How we work
Our team is located at Robinson Road in the city. You will be part of a cross-functional team with a flat structure and shared responsibility for the app. We work hybrid: three fixed office days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) and two from home. Fixed days mean you’re in the office when your team is, so you learn faster and have the support needed to contribute to the solution.
Our hiring process
Shortlisted candidates will meet our team for an interview. During the session, we’ll show you a draft user guide or release note and ask you to review and improve it. No product knowledge needed. Please include samples of documentation or training material you have written.
