Systems and Network Engineer

Responsibilities

· Network Administration: Perform routine administration of FortiGate firewalls and configure basic Cisco VLANs and switching. Set up and maintain site-to-site VPN connections.

· Servers & Virtualization Management: Provide basic administration and maintenance for Linux server environments. Manage VMware ESXi virtual machines and assist with basic iSCSI storage administration.

· Infrastructure Monitoring: Utilize standard IT monitoring tools to track system health, monitor network performance, and troubleshoot basic technical anomalies.

· Projects & Collaboration: Act as a technical resource for IT projects and incident management, collaborating with other IT teams to support infrastructure and applications.

· Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure processes, configurations, and network changes.

Requirements

· Tertiary education or above in Computing or a related field.

· Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Network Administration and System Administration.

· Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls and basic Cisco VLAN/switching configurations.

· Basic understanding and practical experience in Linux server administration.

· Experience managing VMware ESXi environments, including basic familiarity with iSCSI storage.

· Experience setting up and maintaining site-to-site VPNs.

· Familiarity with using standard network and systems monitoring tools.

· Experience utilizing AI tools for IT automation is an advantage.
