MANTECH is seeking a visionarySystems ArchitectOversite Engineerto support the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Program for the United States Space Force (USSF). We provide comprehensive support,assistingour government partners in certifying complex launch vehicle systems through advanced, data-driven oversight methodologies.This is a remote position.

This role will lead the digital transformation of risk management and quality governance for the NSSL Program. You will provide critical support by transitioning the Program from subjective oversight to a highlyaccurate, quantitative governance model. You will integrate manufacturing and production readiness into a unified framework that connects high-level industry standards with day-to-day manufacturing execution. You will be essential to system certification by combining multi-disciplinary data—including part reviews, audits, tests, and anomaly reports—into a predictive risk model thatidentifiesprocess issues before they lead to failure.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

The Enterprise Oversight Systems Architectis responsible fordeveloping, implementing, and continually refining an advanced assessmentmethodology:

  • Develop and implement Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms to transition from static risk models to dynamic, data-driven pattern recognition.

  • Build and scale centralized data hubs to gather detailed findings and map them to measurable performance indicators acrossmanpower, methods, machinery, materials, management, and the environment.

  • Create methods to assess process health, ensuring broad regulatory requirements are met through measurable operational performance, shifting away from reactive reporting.

  • Establish rigorous protocols for assessing execution quality to ensure that high performance in one area cannot hide critical failures at the task level.

  • Execute a composite risk model by quantifying performance-adjusted likelihood, consequence, volatility, and historical data to generate predictive risk scores.

  • Data-Driven Weighting: Lead expert panels to deriveaccurate, evidence-based weights for various processes and operational characteristics.

  • Utilize diagnostic matrices to categorize organizational health, providing leadership with actionable intervention strategies for at-risk processes.Perform statistical validation to ensure oversight metrics serve as leading indicators of success rather than lagging indicators of failure.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineeringorbachelor's degreein STEM field. (1.5 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of each 1 year of education/degree requirement).

  • 9+years as Mechanical/Aerospace engineer in relevant fields with at least 2 years of aerospace quality or manufacturing engineering experience.This includes quality management systems,systems engineering,product/process controls, testing, audits, corrective actions, lean manufacturing, and product design requirements.

  • Proven experience in engineering and production programs. Experience working with aerospace, satellite, or other large-scale government and industry programs is highly desired.

  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules asrequiredor work remotely.

Clearance:

  • Must have active secret OR must be able to obtain andmaintaina secret level clearance.

Travel:

  • This position requires up to 50% travel to customer sitesthat may include launch sitessuch as Cape Canaveral, Vandenberg Space Force Base as well as Los Angeles Air Force Base.

PhysicalRequirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantlyoperatesa computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator,machineand computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers,managementand customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchangeaccurateinformation in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $89,100.00-$148,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
