Systems Engineer
We’re seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based IT infrastructure solutions with a strong focus on AWS and Azure platforms. This role combines technical expertise in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and IT modernization to support mission-critical operations for defense and commercial clients
Responsibilities
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will design and implement scalable, secure cloud-based solutions using AWS and Azure to meet mission requirements.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and systems engineers, to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
- Additionally, you will lead the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and CDK. Strengthening system security will be a key focus, achieved by implementing DISA STIGs, conducting regular vulnerability assessments, and remediating identified risks.
- You will also support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to achieve system accreditation and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Managing containerized environments, monitoring system performance, and providing support for complex technical issues.
- You will also author and maintain technical documentation, including system design artifacts, standard operating procedures, and project plans.
- Finally, you will evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance operational capabilities, ensuring that systems remain cutting-edge and mission-ready.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of experience in Systems Engineering
- 5 years of IT engineering experience in any of the following areas:
- Experience in full stack development of .NET applications
- Experience in full stack development of JavaScript applications
- Proficiency in AWS or Azure configurations and deployments.
- Experience preparing reports on security vulnerabilities, incidents, and risk management activities.
- Assist in cloud development cycles and CI-CD pipelines
- Audit and maintain code repositories
- Must maintain DOD 8140 compliance for IAT 2 or Security+ CE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, DISA STIGs, and vulnerability management tools like Nessus.
- Experience supporting SharePoint development as necessary
- Experience supporting SNOW development as necessary
- AWS/Azure certifications
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
