Systems Engineer AWS
Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year
Requirements:- Working knowledge of Linux system administration and strong troubleshooting skills across application, network, and host levels
- Experience with systems automation using BASH, Python, Perl, or similar tools
- Experience with network fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and HTTP
- Exposure to cloud computing concepts and design considerations
- Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or similar systems
- Ability to be a UK national and obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance
- Help implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve complex technical problems
- Operate and engineer systems at massive scale
- Investigate customer issues and root causes, including metric trends and service behavior
- Consult with senior engineers to diagnose and resolve issues
- Own our services and support out-of-hours operations as smoothly as possible
- Apply Operational Excellence best practices and automate manual processes
- Troubleshoot, innovate fixes, and create workarounds using Linux skills
- Keep software up to date and provide data and metrics to support capacity and efficiency management
- Identify and troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Communicate clearly, collaborate with others, and deliver results
- Work as self-starters in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity and change
