Systems Engineer
Dynamic individual who has hardware technical knowledge on x86/x64, storage & network products to provide both post-sales and pre-sales support. Able to provide problem determination, diagnostic testing, repair/resolution of hardware, Operating System, virtualization and infrastructure in dynamic enterprise environments.
Job Description
• Provide field break-fix support based on SLA (24x7)
• Perform problem determination, action plan creation, and remote support for field technician when necessary
• Serve as technical ambassador for assigned key accounts
• Provide post-sales project implementation, onsite support and coordination
• Break-fix support scope including, but not limited to, machine inspection, system checklist creation, troubleshooting and replacement of hardware level, troubleshooting of Operating System, incident ownership and customer management
• Deliver high quality services and customer satisfactions to internal and external clients
• Ensure good housekeeping of equipment residing at designated platform area and maintain the work area tidiness within the engineering area
• Provides timely update of activity list as per required basis
• Drive self-improvement and upkeep with the latest technologies and corporate changes on a continuous basis
• Perform standby duty based on rotation basis
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision when tasks are assigned
• Any other ad-hoc assigned by superior
Job Requirements
• Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in similar field
• Minimum Diploma/Degree holder on IT related discipline
• Those without certification but with strong x86/storage mid to enterprise hardware experience will be considered
• Well trained in field engineering, troubleshooting methodology, problem determination and remedial action plan.
• Hardware Troubleshooting experience in x86/x64 based systems (IBM, Hewlett Packard, Dell, SUN/Oracle, Cisco UCS and etc.), SAN, NAS storage & HCI.
• Familiar with data center equipment common operating system, Virtualization solutions and infrastructure setup
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Contributes positively as a team player and align to business goals.
• Experience in independent hardware maintenance, services coordination

• Able to lift and move computer parts < 15KG for parts replacement.
• Able to perform system rack mounting with minimal support.
Preferred:
• Industrial certification from OEM/principle(IBM/HP/Dell/Cisco UCS/EMC/NetApp)
• Cisco and network devices implementation experience
• Prior regional exposure performing remote L2/L3 support
