Systems Engineer

Salary: AUD 900 - 1100 per day

Looking to join one of Australia’s most integral federal government departments? This department helps to make life of all Australians safer and is looking for a 2 x System Engineers.

Working in Brisbane or Melbourne office, you will be focused on engineering for their real time tracking and communications platforms.

This is an end to end role working on all aspects of systems engineering (design, planning, delivery etc).

Aside from the above you will be responsible for

• Engineering through system design, implementation and support
• Supporting existing communications infrastructure
• Creation of engineering reports, specifications, feasibility studies etc
• Reporting, specifications, documentation of systems
• Configuration of systems including hardware, software/firmware, and documentation

These roles are looking for engineers with a background in communications systems as well real time systems. As such we are looking to see:

• End to end engineering from implementation, support, monitoring etc
• Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Telecommunications systems engineering
• Analogue voice audio hardware and circuitry
• N-tier architectures knowledge beneficial
• Real time systems experience highly beneficial
• Have or qualify as a Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ)
• Australian citizenship with the ability to get a security clearance

On offer to the successful candidate will be a contract role with a duration of 2 years rates based on your experience around $1100 per day.

This role is based in the Brisbane or Melbourne office with a work from home split of 3 days onsite.
