Systems Engineer L6
Summary
Level 6 systems engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD who documents and supports the design, implementation, deployment, and sustainment of new and upgraded systems at FS sites. Requires an active TS/SCI with MD polygraph; core work spans Linux/Windows administration, Cisco networking, virtualization, and cloud concepts.
Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking to hire a System Engineer Level 6 for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction area.
- Deep
understanding of multiple communications technologies, virtualization,
systems architecture, and infrastructure for IT systems and SIGINT
platforms.
- Proficient in designing,
interpreting, and modifying System and Network Engineering Drawings
(Visio, Adobe)
- Expertise in system and network
administration across diverse platforms, including Linux and Windows
environments.
- Extensive experience in network and
data processing system integration, hardware and software configuration,
deployment, and sustainment.
- Understanding/experience in Cisco
networking, including routers, switches, and security protocols.
- Skilled in network and data
processing system integration, including rack and stack installation,
cabling, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of cloud computing
concepts and best practices.
- The ability to create detailed
system documentation and collaborate effectively with cross-functional
teams (JIRA and Confluence).
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Sharepoint.
Requirements
A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a MD polygraph is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time.
- Experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure: Rancher/Harvester, Nutanix, Cisco Hyperflex, Azure Stack HCI, etc.
- Experience with Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Podman
- Config Management: Ansible, SaltStack
- Code Deployment: GitLab
- Monitoring: Nagios, Zabbix, ELKStack
- Backups: Runbrik
- Ticketing/Documentation: Jira/Confluence
- Compliance Experience: Latte'Art, Biscotti
- Cloud: AWS or other experience
- Experience migrating from Bare-Metal to the cloud
- Experience designing large scale environments for customers
Qualifications:
- A
Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related
discipline (See Note 2)
from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems
engineering experience
OR
- A
High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general system engineering
experience (any Process
Area).
OR
- A
Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related
discipline (See Note 2) from
an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering
experience
OR
- A
PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See
Note 2) from an accredited
college or university plus sixteen (16) years of systems engineering experience.
Note
1 – Examples of qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical,
Chemical, Civil,
Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems,
and Engineering Management.
Similar or comparable degrees will be acceptable.
