Systems Engineer (Linux) - L2 (Ref 26574)

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux system administration, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration

• Manage and deploy Logstash pipelines as part of the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack

• Configure and manage syslog collection and metrics monitoring across systems

• Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and operational workflows

• Handle Service Requests (SR) and Change Requests (CR) in accordance with IT service management processes

• Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high availability of infrastructure

• Set up and maintain dashboards in Kibana for operational visibility and reporting

Requirements

• Proficient in Linux administration (e.g., RHEL or equivalent)

• Hands-on experience with the ELK stack, particularly Logstash pipeline deployment and Kibana dashboard creation

• Strong understanding of syslog and metrics concepts

• Solid foundational knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting)

• Experience managing SRs and CRs in a structured IT environment

• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash equivalent)

• Able to perform standby duties, including being on-call and responding to after-hours incidents when required
