As we continue to grow, we're expanding our internal tech team to ensure smooth operations and scalable infrastructure. We’re looking for a motivated and curious Systems Engineer to join our IT team at Praper Media. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with real-world systems, learn from experienced engineers, and build a solid technical foundation in a fast-paced creative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining systems running macOS, Linux, and Windows.
- Learn to deploy and manage virtual machines using tools like VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or Proxmox.
- Help troubleshoot basic system and network issues under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Support the IT team with day-to-day technical tasks and documentation.
- Practice scripting with Bash or other shell environments to automate simple tasks.
- Suggest innovative ideas to improve processes and contribute to team discussions.
- Provide support for hardware-related issues, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer components.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or has completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Linux, macOS, Windows).
- Familiarity with the concept of virtualization (what VMs are, how they’re used).
- Interest in networking (IP addresses, DNS, routers, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of computer hardware, including components like CPUs, memory, storage, and peripheral devices.
- Interest in or exposure to cloud technologies.
