Millennial Software is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with Agile Software Development Product Owner (PO) experience to join our collaborative team supporting a Government customer to advance Space Domain Awareness (SDA) missions. You’ll serve as the bridge between technical development teams, system architects, and mission stakeholders. This role combines systems engineering rigor with product ownership responsibilities, ensuring solutions are well-architected, aligned with requirements, and successfully delivered. The candidate will define and manage the team’s direction, manage backlogs, and translate customer needs into actionable development tasks, and guide system design and integration to support national security and SDA operations. The ideal candidate must be comfortable collaborating closely with users, designers, and backend developers to build polished, high-performance tools in mission-critical environments.


Essential Functions:

  • Define and prioritize SDA-focused product features and technical requirements in collaboration with mission stakeholders, system architects, and development teams.
  • Maintain and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and program milestones.
  • Apply systems engineering practices to ensure effective data integration, interface design, and system performance in SDA applications.
  • Serve as the liaison between users, stakeholders, and the development team to ensure clear communication of priorities and objectives.
  • Support test planning, validation, and verification to confirm system capabilities meet SDA mission objectives.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and provide solutions to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
