About the role

We are seeking an experienced, production-proven Systems Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will inherit, build, maintain, and optimize a live, interconnected system estate spanning modern full-stack web applications and enterprise integrations. This is an AI-native engineering role that requires strong fundamental coding skills, disciplined SDLC practices, and genuine production experience—meaning you have launched live software, navigated real-world outages, written clear operational documentation, and successfully managed rollbacks in a live environment. You will bridge custom web applications (Python, JavaScript, Supabase, Vercel) with our automation and enterprise back-office platforms.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain, support, and operate live applications; proactively monitor system notifications, background jobs, and error logs

  • Manage live environment issues, perform safe database and application rollbacks, and handle exception communication early and transparently with leadership

  • Balance ongoing operational maintenance (BAU, bug fixes, support tickets) with strategic, project-based engineering goals

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications and portals using Python, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

  • Deploy, manage, and host platforms using Vercel, Supabase (PostgreSQL), and Cloudflare

  • Leverage modern AI coding tools and contemporary development stacks daily to accelerate feature delivery and code refactoring

  • Design, trace, and maintain data flows across connected environments using APIs, Webhooks, JSON, and PostgreSQL

  • Manage and optimize integration pipelines across Zapier, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and third-party tools

  • Trace complex processes across multi-system pipelines to ensure data accuracy and resolve sync bottlenecks

  • Create and update clear runbooks, architecture maps, decision records, SOPs, and handover documentation

About you

  • Demonstrated track record releasing applications into live production environments with active users, including real-world experience managing incidents and rollbacks

  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, and Git

  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON structures, and relational database schemas

  • Daily hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and modern software development toolchains

  • Ability to communicate technical risks early, write clear documentation, and collaborate effectively with both non-technical stakeholders and fellow developers

  • Maintain strict Git discipline, code review practices, and CI/CD workflows (GitHub)

  • Implement rigorous testing strategies (unit, integration, and regression) to catch issues prior to live release

  • Apply working security habits (access controls, permissions models) and strictly adhere to data privacy obligations across all platforms
