Summary
Systems engineer at OHB's Weßling (near Munich) site researching and implementing signal-processing algorithms (compression, calibration, super-resolution, detection) for on-board space applications: building software prototypes, optimizing them for on-board hardware constraints, and managing sub-contractor work across the space and ground segments.
We are searching for an embedded signal processing engineer who is at least familiar with one of the following application areas: Low level sensor raw data processing (e.g. filtering, compression) On-ground Level 1 processing Object detection Autonomous navigation and perception Your Responsibilities Research suitable on-board processing algorithms for various applications, e.g. super-resolution, calibration, compression Implement reference prototypes neglecting hardware constraints Perform optimization loops on reference implementations wrt. to on-board constraints (e.g. bit accurate models) Define, design, test and implement dedicated signal processing algorithms in SW environment with preliminary on-board deployment Evaluate performance of reference implementation wrt. HW implementation Define interfaces and according requirements Conduct verification and validation activities including the planning and reporting Define work packages and manage interfaces with external sub-contractors in industry and academia Review different sub-contractor results, like technical proposals, technical reports, software, data or specifications Support technical discussion with customer or supplier Cooperate closely with internal and external partners concerned with the development of both space and ground segment operational software and hardware
