Systems Engineer (Storage)
Summary
Designs, deploys, and maintains enterprise storage systems across data centers, ensuring data integrity, performance, and compliance while automating tasks with scripting.
- Design, deploy, monitor, and manage enterprise storage solutions across multiple data centers.
- Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Analyze storage performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance system performance and capacity planning.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to storage systems.
- Develop scripts and workflows to automate storage-related tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure storage systems comply with internal security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with storage solution vendors for hardware/software support, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT storage administration or a related field.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise storage systems such as NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, or Vantara.
- Hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, and object storage technologies.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools like Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, or Veeam.
- Strong knowledge of storage protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, and Fiber Channel.
- Scripting experience in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
