Systems Engineer

  • Serve as the core architect for a newly established hedge fund trading platform
  • Build an institutional-grade automated execution system from first principles
  • Design a modular, venue-agnostic architecture that performs under volatility and fast liquidity changes
  • Develop and own the full end-to-end trading engine with production-ready scalability and robustness
  • Build real-time data and signal pipelines for order books, trades, and alternative data sources (news, social, etc.)
  • Develop backtesting frameworks and portfolio construction logic adaptable across multiple asset classes
  • Implement embedded risk controls, including position limits, exposure aggregation, kill-switch mechanisms, and drawdown protection
  • Own infrastructure reliability through observability tooling, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines for rapid strategy iteration
  • 4+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with Python and production backend languages (Rust, C++, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of high-frequency trading, blockchain/crypto systems, and probability-driven trading strategies
  • Proficiency with distributed systems, asynchronous execution, and high-performance database design
  • Ability to work with trading infrastructure, including market connectivity, order management, and execution workflows
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and observability tooling for 24/7 system uptime
  • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
  • Startup experience
  • Ability to solve complex technical challenges from the ground up through first-principles thinking
  • Interest in working within a small, fast-moving team where engineering decisions directly impact performance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
