Summary

Maintains and secures Linux-based production servers, networks, and storage, applying patching, virtualization, clustering, and backup practices.

· Diploma/degree in IT or equivalent experience with Linux/MCSE/Unix certification(s).

· Must have knowledge and working experience of Linux, preferably 2+ years of hands-on experience in system administration for production systems.

· Experience in OS patching and upgrade, system security, OS virtualization, HA/clustering, replication, and backup and recovery techniques.

· Working experience in networking (TCP/IP), physical hardware, and/or storage systems.

· Knowledge and hands-on experience of Unix (Solaris or AIX or other Unix) will be advantageous.

· Knowledge and working experience of Apache HTTP web server, middleware WebSphere/JBOSS/Tomcat/IIS, MQ, etc. will be advantageous.

· Knowledge and experiences in integrated security access management software such as IBM ISAM will be advantageous.

· Knowledge and experience of JDBC and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL) will be advantageous.

· Knowledge of cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps will be advantageous.
