Systems Engineer

You will design, build, and support highly automated Linux-based servers across global datacenters and offices. You will diagnose production issues, develop and maintain operating-system packages and scripts, optimize infrastructure for lower latency, manage configuration changes, coordinate with technology groups and vendors, and contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve Linux-based server issues
• Create, test, deploy, and maintain operating-system packages, batch files, and scripts
• Identify optimization opportunities to reduce latency and increase efficiency
• Manage move, add, and change requests and configuration
• Liaise with internal technology groups and vendors to deliver solutions
• Assist with long-term infrastructure strategies and capacity planning

Requirements

• 5+ years of Linux/Unix administration experience
• Kernel tuning experience
• Networking protocols and network topology knowledge
• Knowledge of Kickstart, Ansible, Yum, Git, and SVN
• Bash and Python scripting ability
• BIOS configuration experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with teams and vendors
• Organizational and time management skills
