Systems Engr II

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engineering automation solutions using Siemens Rulestream.
  • Create and maintain rules, workflows, and object models within Rulestream.
  • Analyze business and engineering requirements and translate them into rule-based logic.
  • Integrate Rulestream with enterprise systems such as PLM (Teamcenter), ERP, CAD tools, or web services.
  • Develop and maintain user interfaces, forms, and reports within Rulestream applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to rule execution, workflows, and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and IT teams to optimize automation processes.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in Rulestream or similar rule-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens Rulestream (architecture, modeling, rule creation).
  • Strong programming knowledge in:
    • .NET / C#
    • VB.NET (preferred in legacy implementations)
  • Understanding of:
    • Object-oriented programming (OOP)
    • Engineering design processes
    • Configuration/validation systems
  • Experience with database concepts (SQL Server).
  • Knowledge of web services (SOAP/REST APIs).
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLM tools (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter).
  • Familiarity with CAD systems (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Understanding of manufacturing or product configuration processes.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
