About the Role
HYH Management Pty Ltd is looking for a Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology & Data team. This role plays a key part in maintaining, securing, and continuously improving our technology infrastructure across cloud, network, systems, endpoint, and cybersecurity domains.
You'll start by focusing on discovery, documentation, and risk reduction to build a strong technology foundation, before transitioning into infrastructure administration, automation, and ongoing operational support as the business scales. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting to the bottom of how systems really work, tightening things up, and building the kind of foundation that scales.
What You'll Do
Maintain accurate documentation of our technology environment, network diagrams, cloud architecture, store connectivity, infrastructure inventories, DNS, and technical standards
Conduct infrastructure discovery and technical assessments to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for standardisation
Manage and maintain infrastructure across head office, stores, and cloud environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure, SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki, VPN, firewalls, switching, wireless, virtual machines, storage, and backup
Support cloud-hosted Retail Management Systems through patch management, upgrades, capacity planning, and disaster recovery activities
Monitor infrastructure performance and implement monitoring, alerting, and reporting to proactively resolve issues
Develop standardised provisioning and support processes for laptops, POS systems, and store technology devices
Maintain technology asset management practices, including asset registers and lifecycle tracking
Develop scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency and reliability
Participate in cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments, remediation, and security control implementation
Act as an escalation point for the ICT Support team on complex infrastructure incidents
About You
Strong analytical and organisational ability, attention to detail, clear communication
Building relationships with stakeholders across head office, stores, vendors and service providers
Applied experience administering Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune), Azure, and Windows Server environments
Strong cloud, networking, and infrastructure troubleshooting skills
A proactive, security-focused mindset with a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles
Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills
Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent industry experience
Nice to Have
Experience with SD-WAN, Linux server environments, or firewall configuration
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and endpoint security platforms
Experience supporting multi-site retail or distributed environments
