Systems Security Engineer - International School

Salary: $35,000 – $45,000 per month

Our client:

A well-established international school in Hong Kong with a technology-focused learning environment. They are looking for a System Security Engineer to manage core Microsoft systems while supporting information security governance, compliance and cybersecurity operations.

Your role:

• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure and related cloud services

• Manage and maintain identity and access management, endpoint protection, email security and other core IT security platforms

• Provide operational support for user accounts, device management, system configuration and cloud security across the school environment

• Review and maintain information security controls, policies and processes in line with audit requirements and industry standards

• Coordinate security audits, risk assessments, compliance reviews and remediation activities with internal and external stakeholders

• Work with the SOC and technology teams on threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management and security investigations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related disciplines

• Around 5 years’ experience in systems administration, information security, cybersecurity operations or related IT roles

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Azure environments

• Solid understanding of identity and access management, endpoint security, email security and cloud security

• Experience with Microsoft Defender, firewalls, endpoint protection platforms and security monitoring tools

• Knowledge of security governance, audit, risk assessment, vulnerability management and incident response

• CISSP, CISM, Security+, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300 or equivalent certification is highly preferred

• Familiarity with macOS, iPadOS and Apple device management solutions is an advantage

• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills

• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work with users, vendors, auditors, SOC and technology teams
