The Qualifications We Seek

• Minimum high school education or equivalent qualification; an associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant IT experience in server management, systems support, or technical operations, including 1 year of hands-on Tier 1 technical support
• Hands-on Windows Server expertise in installation, configuration, administration, system services, access permissions, storage, updates, and troubleshooting
• Practical experience in server deployment, hardware replacement and upgrades, infrastructure migrations, and application troubleshooting
• Strong networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, network connectivity, and remote-access troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, configuration, version upgrades, database files, connectivity, and issue resolution; SSRS familiarity is an advantage
• Strong diagnostic and root-cause analysis skills across server systems, hardware, applications, and network infrastructure
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms, remote administration tools, RMM systems, infrastructure monitoring, diagnostic utilities, and Microsoft Teams
• Ability to independently manage high-volume support tickets, prioritize incidents, and maintain accurate technical documentation
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including frequent phone interactions and technical assistance to non-technical users
• Availability for after-hours maintenance, server migrations, infrastructure projects, and emergency support while following security and data protection protocols
• Additional advantages include CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, Azure/AWS, PowerShell, SQL Server high availability (Availability Groups, log shipping, replication), and critical production environment support

Your Daily Tasks

• Manage Windows Server operations, including system configurations, user access, storage, updates, and essential services
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving Windows Server, SQL Server, hardware, applications, and network connectivity
• Execute server installations, hardware replacements, infrastructure migrations, and system upgrades across on-premises and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot DNS, firewall, remote-access, and network communication issues to maintain reliable connectivity
• Maintain SQL Server performance, connectivity, backups, replication, and operational availability
• Analyze system logs, monitoring alerts, and performance metrics to identify faults and prevent service disruptions
• Support disaster recovery readiness through backup verification, failover testing, log shipping, replication, and Availability Groups
• Perform scheduled patching, system maintenance, cutovers, validation, and rollback procedures in accordance with change controls
• Collaborate with customers, technical teams, database specialists, and vendors to resolve incidents and communicate progress
• Escalate complex technical issues with complete diagnostic findings and supporting information
• Document incident resolutions, infrastructure changes, troubleshooting procedures, and technical knowledge for future reference
