Your work profile

Design and lead the implementation of secure, highly available on-premises DevOps platforms across enterprise data centres, including disaster recovery and business continuity.

Build and manage enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Enterprise or Azure DevOps Server, enabling automated builds, testing, deployments and release management.

Design, administer and optimise Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms, including Helm deployments, container registries, upgrades, networking, storage and access management.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, Python and Shell scripting, collaborating with infrastructure teams across Linux, virtualisation, networking, storage and load balancing.

Implement DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, secrets management, certificate rotation, RBAC, privileged access management and audit-ready release processes.

Establish observability and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch or Splunk. Drive incident management, root cause analysis, service reliability, backup validation and disaster recovery testing.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort, accelerate delivery, minimise deployment failures and improve platform availability and operational efficiency.

Lead and mentor DevOps, platform and automation engineers, establish engineering standards, conduct design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure secure and reliable technology operations.

Key Skills Required:

• Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift, including upgrades, networking, ingress, storage and RBAC.
• Enterprise CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Server or GitHub Enterprise; Maven/Gradle and Nexus/Artifactory.
• Infrastructure as Code and automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python and Bash/Shell scripting.
• Linux administration, virtualisation, networking, DNS, load balancing and storage.
• DevSecOps, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, certificate management and audit-ready release governance.
• Observability and SRE practices, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch or Splunk, incident management, RCA and disaster recovery.
• Technical leadership, platform engineering, high availability and business continuity.
• Banking/financial services domain knowledge and awareness of RBI IT governance requirements.
• Good to have: Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, API gateways, GitOps with Argo CD/OpenShift GitOps, hybrid cloud exposure and certifications such as CKA, RHCSA/RHCE, OpenShift Administration or Terraform Associate.

Experience:

10–15 years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering or infrastructure automation within enterprise on-premises environments. Proven experience leading technical teams and working in regulated environments, preferably banking or financial services.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field is preferred.
