Role & responsibilities

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Overall, 4 to 6 + years of experience in BI reporting and data visualization.
• Strong hands-on with at least 4 to 6 years’ experience on:

1. Tableau: dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, actions, extracts.
2. Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Cloud
3. Dashboard, worksheet, story, and workbook development
4. Actions: filter, highlight, URL, parameter, and set actions
5. Time-series analysis, forecasting, clustering, and trend lines
6. Permissions, projects, sites, schedules, and subscriptions
7. Charts, controls
8. SQL: joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, views, and query optimization.
9. Data modeling: dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, star schemas, and slowly changing dimensions.

• Experience working with any relational database such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of data quality, reporting governance, and performance tuning in Tableau.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to Tableau, GHE Copilot, Native AI offerings, Python, Data Bricks environment is a plus.

Work you’ll do

• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
• Gather reporting requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Design logical and physical data models, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Build data relationships, calculated fields, measures, KPIs, and drill-through reports.
• Develop Tableau datasets, semantic models, and Tableau data sources.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, security, and performance optimization.
• Improve dashboard usability, load times, and report performance.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, business users, and technology teams.
• Document data definitions, report logic, technical specifications, and support procedures.
• Manage report deployments across development, test, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot data, refresh, access, and visualization issues. Will work closely with Onsite Team to gather the requirements & develop on the above-mentioned technologies.
• Provide directions to the team in terms of technical issues and the design challenges.
• Provide updates to the group lead in USI on daily basis on the project, challenges, and risks on timely basis
