Tableau Lead

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Tableau Lead to support the team by developing,

managing and optimizing business intelligence dashboards and operational reports. The

candidate will be responsible for delivering actionable insights through data visualization,

monitoring key operational metrics, automating reporting processes, and ensuring

accurate and timely reporting for business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Tableau and SQL, a good

understanding of operational processes, and the ability to lead reporting initiatives and

collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Tableau dashboards and

reports for Operations.

• Develop dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service-level

agreements (SLAs), productivity, turnaround time (TAT), quality, volumes, and

operational efficiency.

• Work closely with Operations managers and business stakeholders to understand

reporting requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards.

• Build automated reports to reduce manual reporting efforts and improve

operational efficiency.

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze

operational data.

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance and highlight trends,

deviations, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across dashboards and

operational reports.

• Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Manage report enhancements, change requests, and production issues within

agreed timelines.

• Develop standardized reporting frameworks and documentation to ensure

consistency across operational teams.

• Lead and mentor Tableau developers and analysts, review deliverables, and

establish best practices.

• Coordinate with data engineering, technology, and Operations teams to resolve

data discrepancies and reporting issues.

• Support management reviews through MIS reporting, trend analysis, root-cause

analysis, and actionable insights.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, MIS Reporting, or

Data Visualization.

• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server or Tableau

Cloud.

• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions,

and query optimization.

• Expertise in Tableau calculations, LOD expressions, parameters, table calculations,

dashboard design, and performance tuning.

• Experience developing operational dashboards and KPI-based reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of operational metrics, SLA monitoring, productivity reporting,

TAT, and performance tracking.

• Experience in report automation, data validation, and reconciliation.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize requirements, and deliver

reports within defined timelines.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
