Tableau/Salesforce Developer (REMOTE)

Koniag IT Systems, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Developer to be a part of the technical design and implementation Salesforce solutions team. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on development expertise to deliver innovative solutions for our government clients.
The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-level Salesforce solutions on a development team.
Key responsibilities include:

Design scalable Salesforce solutions that align with business requirements and technical standards
Lead technical design sessions and provide guidance to development teams
Develop complex customizations using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies
Create and maintain technical documentation including solution design documents
Establish best practices for development, security, and performance optimization
Mentor junior developers and provide technical oversight of deliverables
Evaluate new Salesforce features and technologies for potential implementation
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
Manage integration with external systems and third-party applications

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
6+ years of Salesforce development experience
Salesforce Platform Developer II certification
Tableau Desktop Foundation certification

Required Skills and Competencies:

Expert-level knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations
Advanced expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce development
Strong understanding of Salesforce security models and sharing architecture
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Proven experience using Tableau software with Salesforce reporting
Proven experience designing large-scale Salesforce implementations
Strong knowledge of API integration patterns and middleware solutions
Experience with data migration and ETL tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Experience with Agile development methodologies

Security Requirement:

Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Desired Skills and Competencies:

Experience with government IT projects
Knowledge of FedRAMP compliance requirements
Experience with MuleSoft or other integration platforms
Additional certifications in Salesforce specialty clouds
Experience with AI/ML implementation in Salesforce
Experience with GearSet
Experience with GitHub
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
Experience with change management in enterprise environments
