# Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced management skills specifically for Ubuntu Linux distribution. This role is designed for someone eager to learn and grow their skills with the help of AI tools and on-the-job training. Advanced English reading proficiency and basic troubleshooting skills are necessary.

# Main Responsibilities

• System Stability: Ensure the stable operation of our network and systems, focusing on Ubuntu Linux distribution.
• Automation and Tooling: Develop basic automation skills to reduce manual work and enhance system scalability and stability.
• Monitoring and Incident Response: Set up, monitor, and manage alerts to identify and resolve issues quickly. Perform root cause analysis with guidance.
• Capacity Planning: Assist in forecasting and managing system resource requirements.

• Proven advanced management skills with Ubuntu Linux distribution.

# Future Growth Targets

• Knowledge of container orchestration such as Kubernetes, Podman and Docker.
• Migration: Assist in migrating systems from Gentoo to Ubuntu, and manage critical high-frequency trading systems using RHEL.
• Compilation and Troubleshooting: Learn to compile third-party software written in C/C++ on various Linux distributions and resolve compilation errors.
• Network Configuration: Gain knowledge in configuring and maintaining pfSense firewalls, Dell switches, and HP switches.
• High Availability (HA) Setup: Learn to design and implement high availability network environments.
• Storage Management: Assist in planning and managing automatic backups and NAS storage arrangements.
• Hardware Procurement: Help evaluate and procure server hardware.
• Fiber Optic Management: Learn to manage and maintain fiber optic connections between network devices, including understanding GBIC and differences between single-mode and multi-mode fiber optics.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate reliability into the software development lifecycle.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and incident reports.
• Automation Tool Development: Learn to develop automation tools using Go or Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
• Basic understanding of monitoring and logging tools.
• Learn to use monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
