Talent Acquisition and People & Culture Coordinator (6-month contract)

Position Overview The Talent Acquisition/People & Culture coordinator will collaborate with both the Talent Acquisition and People & Culture teams to support recruitment, HR administration, employee documentation, and various people initiatives across the employee lifecycle. This role provides hands-on experience in Talent Acquisition, People & Culture processes, reporting, documentation, and supporting day-to-day HR activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate interviews and contact applicants as needed• Create postings in Dayforce on behalf of hiring managers, submitting requisitions when required• Manage job postings in Dayforce and conduct weekly audits to ensure postings are successfully syndicated to external job boards, including LinkedIn.• Initiate and monitor pre-employment screening activities, including background checks, reference checks and CIRO registration/document requests where applicable.• Process new hire documentation by forwarding signed employment documents to Payroll and Benefits teams and maintaining recruitment tracking records.• Support the onboarding process by entering and validating candidate information in Dayforce once offers are accepted and all pre-employment checks have been completed, ensuring appropriate quality control and secondary review procedures are followed.•Monitoring the Talent Acquisition inbox, responding to routine inquiries and escalating or redirecting requests to the appropriate team members as required.• Process the Education Assistance forms, including reviewing submissions, tracking requests, collecting required approvals, and coordinating communications with employees and payroll.• Support the People & Culture team in preparing, reviewing, and processing employee documentation, including employment letters, compensation change letters, and other HR-related documentation.• Support the People & Culture team with reporting, audits, compliance tracking, and documentation related to employee lifecycle events.• Review and organize archived employee records by verifying existing documentation, identifying missing or duplicate records, and assisting with maintaining accurate and organized employee files.• Provide administrative support to the People & Culture team and assist with other projects and initiatives as required.• Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Post-secondary education• Demonstrated Passion for HR

The expected hourly range for this role is $22/hr-$25/hr The actual rate offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training.
