This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Talent Acquisition, Executive Research Sourcer based in United States.

This is a strategic, globally focused talent-sourcing role dedicated to building long-term research talent advantage in a highly specialized scientific environment.
You will identify and engage senior and hard-to-find scientific professionals across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, academia, research institutes, and innovation ecosystems.
The role combines executive talent scouting with sophisticated talent intelligence, competitive research, and scientific network development.
You will build proactive pipelines that support both immediate hiring priorities and future organizational growth.
Working closely with Research leaders, hiring managers, recruiters, and HR partners, you will translate market intelligence into actionable talent strategies.
The position offers significant autonomy and requires a true hunter mindset, strong scientific curiosity, and the ability to influence stakeholders through data and insight.

Accountabilities

  • Lead executive talent scouting initiatives for critical and highly specialized Research positions, developing targeted strategies across academia, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, research, and innovation ecosystems.
  • Partner with Research leaders, hiring managers, recruiters, and HR stakeholders to understand strategic workforce needs and develop proactive talent plans for current and future hiring.
  • Identify, approach, and cultivate passive candidates through relationship-driven outreach, advanced research techniques, referrals, professional networks, and innovative sourcing methods.
  • Conduct talent mapping and competitive intelligence research across therapeutic areas, scientific disciplines, research platforms, organizations, and geographic markets.
  • Monitor industry developments, scientific talent movements, organizational structures, emerging expertise, publications, patents, conferences, and leadership progression to identify future talent opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strategic global networks of established scientific leaders, emerging researchers, and highly specialized professionals through conferences, academic partnerships, professional associations, and innovation communities.
  • Develop targeted talent communities aligned with priority therapeutic areas, research platforms, and long-term workforce requirements, continuously enriching talent databases and pipelines.
  • Use scientific publications, patents, conference presentations, industry recognition, and other research sources to identify high-potential talent and deepen understanding of the global scientific ecosystem.
  • Provide actionable market intelligence on talent availability, talent density, organizational structures, competitive landscapes, and emerging market trends to support workforce planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Leverage advanced sourcing, talent intelligence, AI-enabled technologies, and research platforms to improve talent discovery, effectiveness, scalability, and market coverage.
  • Track sourcing performance and market feedback, continuously refining research and engagement strategies while sharing insights and best practices across the Talent Acquisition organization.
  • Strengthen employer visibility within scientific communities through sustained relationship management, personalized engagement, professional forums, conferences, and industry events.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with global and APAC stakeholders, including flexibility to work across different time zones and schedules.
  • Requirements

    • 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 5 years in executive search, executive sourcing, talent intelligence, or specialized scientific recruiting.
    • Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and APAC teams.
    • Demonstrated success identifying and engaging passive candidates for highly specialized, senior, or leadership-level positions.
    • Experience supporting biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, research, or innovation-focused organizations, ideally within complex scientific environments.
    • Strong talent-mapping, organizational research, competitive intelligence, and market-analysis capabilities, with the ability to turn research into actionable business insights.
    • Advanced sourcing expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter and other research, talent intelligence, or market-mapping platforms.
    • Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Talent Insights, SeekOut, HireEZ, Talent Neuron, GEM, or comparable solutions is highly valuable.
    • A genuine hunter, scout, and sourcer mindset, combined with creativity and an ability to challenge conventional approaches and develop outside-the-box solutions.
    • Strong consulting, stakeholder-management, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and highly specialized professionals.
    • Strong analytical and data-driven thinking, paired with excellent judgment and the ability to interpret complex talent-market information.
    • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving global environment.
    • Strong communication skills, initiative, entrepreneurial thinking, continuous-learning orientation, and a results-focused approach.
    • A degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline is preferred.
    • Experience supporting executive-level Research hiring, strategic talent intelligence initiatives, or workforce-planning projects is preferred.
