Discussion

About the Role

This is a foundational hire for a fast-growing AI SaaS startup, with the opportunity to build the recruiting function from the ground up. You'll work closely with the Recruiting Lead and C-level leadership, owning everything from sourcing strategy to offer closure as the company scales from ~50 to 100 employees.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with hiring managers to define clear role requirements and success profiles.

  • Drive active sourcing and channel activation to maintain a strong pipeline of high-potential candidates.

  • Conduct pre-screening and screening calls that deliver actionable hiring decisions.

  • Coordinate all stages of the hiring process to ensure smooth, timely progress.

  • Negotiate and close employment contracts with candidates.

  • Design and implement scalable, lean recruiting processes and administrative structures.

  • Develop and execute employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.

  • Coordinate external partners such as payroll providers, notaries, and tax advisors.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities as part of the full recruiting lifecycle.

  • Establish HR foundations — processes, tools, and team events — in close collaboration with leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with a proven track record delivering end-to-end recruiting across diverse roles and formats.

  • Demonstrated ability to build lean, scalable recruiting processes from scratch and measure effectiveness with hard metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, conversion rates, pipeline efficiency).

  • Experience negotiating employment contracts and closing offers successfully.

  • Hands-on experience configuring and optimising recruiting platforms and ATS tools for daily use.

  • Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to define, track, and report on recruitment KPIs.

  • Proven ability to quickly assess candidates for both skill and cultural fit across large applicant pools.

  • Skilled at pitching roles and the company compellingly to secure top candidates.

  • Experience coordinating external HR-adjacent partners (payroll, legal, tax) within recruiting workflows.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and modern workflows applied to recruitment is a plus.

  • Fluency in German is required for this role.
