Michael and Son is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Candidate Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage qualified candidates through a variety of search methods to build a strong talent pipeline.
- Selection and Hiring: Conduct screening calls, coordinate interview schedules, and lead candidate assessments.
- Relationship Management: Partner with internal managers to understand hiring needs, collaborate with local trade schools and universities to attract talent, build strong community partnerships, and maintain active pipelines
- Recruitment Outreach: Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and recruitment functions (up to 15% local travel across the DC Metro area, Baltimore, and Southern Virginia).
- Offers and Onboarding: Extend job offers, negotiate terms, and partner with the HR team to deliver a smooth new-hire experience.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all recruiting practices align with employment laws while staying up to date on industry hiring trends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS software, and Microsoft Office.
- Solid understanding of recruitment techniques and processes
- Willingness to travel up to 15% within the region.
