Description

INFLUENCING WHERE THE BAR IS SET.

THE WORKFORCE PERFORMS BETTER BECAUSE YOU BUILT THE SYSTEMS THAT MADE IT POSSIBLE.

At DuraServ, talent development is a strategic function — and this role is at the center of it.

DuraServ is looking for a Talent Management Specialist who owns the full talent lifecycle — from onboarding through performance management and succession planning — and who has the expertise to design, build, and deliver scalable talent solutions that help a growing national organization perform at its best.

Talent Management Specialist | Talent Management | Corporate Headquarters | Coppell, TX | On-Site

Full-Time | No Supervisory Responsibilities | Minimal Business Travel

This Role Owns the Talent Lifecycle — All of It.

DuraServ is a national leader in commercial dock and door solutions, operating across nine U.S. regions with a workforce that spans field technicians, sales professionals, branch leaders, and corporate team members. As the company grows — including through acquisitions — the capability, performance, and engagement of that workforce is a direct competitive advantage. Building and sustaining that advantage is the job of Talent Management.

The Talent Management Specialist owns programs that touch every stage of the employment lifecycle. You'll drive the new team member onboarding experience, manage the annual performance management cycle, lead top talent and succession planning events, and support learning program design and facilitation. A key strategic priority for this role is leading the implementation of a skills-based talent framework as part of DuraServ's AI Adoption and Enablement Strategy — a high-visibility initiative that positions the company for the next phase of growth.

This is a role for someone who brings both the strategic thinking to design talent programs and the practical execution skills to deliver them — and who can do it credibly in a fast-moving, acquisition-driven environment.

What You'll Do

Own the Talent Lifecycle

  • Execute the full cycle of DuraServ's talent management strategy — from new team member onboarding through the DuraServ Learning Journey Roadmap, performance management, and top talent succession planning
  • Own new team member orientation and onboarding as the program leader — ensuring every new hire enters the organization with the context, tools, and relationships to be effective from day one
  • Manage the annual performance management cycle end to end: goal setting, mid-year check-ins, performance evaluations, and the calibration conversations that make the process meaningful rather than mechanical
  • Lead top talent planning and succession planning events in partnership with HR and business leadership — identifying high-potential team members and building the development plans that move them forward

Design and Deliver Talent Solutions

  • Partner with business leaders, HR stakeholders, and subject matter experts to translate skill gaps and program requirements into effective, scalable learning solutions — built on ATD best practices, adult learning principles, and DuraServ's brand standards
  • Act as Project Leader or SME on initiatives that introduce or improve talent management programs, including skills frameworks, upskilling, workforce planning, career pathing, and competency-based assessments
  • Lead the implementation of DuraServ's skills-based talent framework as a core component of the AI Adoption and Enablement Strategy — a flagship initiative with direct organizational impact
  • Coordinate logistics and co-facilitate live learning events, both in-person and virtual, that advance role-based development and career growth across the business

Drive Technology, Innovation, and Integration

  • Leverage modern talent management technology and digital learning tools to streamline program delivery, improve the end-user experience, and recommend innovative solutions that advance how DuraServ develops its workforce
  • Use emerging AI and automation solutions to support training preparation, facilitation, learner engagement, and program evaluation — with a critical eye toward accuracy and confidentiality
  • Collaborate with the Talent Management and HR Leadership teams on initiatives that improve workflow processes, deliver consistent branding, and build higher levels of workforce capability
  • Partner with line management to ensure DuraServ's talent management practices are successfully integrated into newly acquired businesses — building adoption, not just awareness

Who You Are

You've spent your career building the kind of talent programs that leaders ask for more of — because they see the results on the floor and in the numbers.

  • A full-lifecycle thinker — you understand how onboarding, performance management, learning programs, and succession planning connect to each other, and you build them to reinforce the whole rather than operate in silos
  • An expert facilitator — you can lead a room of managers, executives, or frontline team members with the presence and credibility that keeps adult learners engaged, accountable, and ready to apply what they learned
  • A skilled program designer — you are fluent in instructional design principles (ATD standards, adult learning theory, competency-based development) and you use them to build programs that work in the real world, not just in a deck
  • Technologically forward — you actively use modern learning technology, digital facilitation tools, and AI solutions to improve your work, and you know how to validate output and protect sensitive information
  • A credible business partner — you translate performance gaps into talent solutions, push back professionally when a request is solving the wrong problem, and earn trust by delivering measurable results
  • Execution-oriented — you manage multiple programs, timelines, and stakeholder communications simultaneously without losing accuracy, quality, or composure

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in talent management disciplines — specifically training and development, management training, or leadership and professional development
  • Demonstrated expertise in program evaluation methods, including how to measure learning impact, engagement, and performance improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and learning technology solutions, including digital learning and facilitation tools
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Experience leading or supporting the design and implementation of a skills-based talent or competency framework
  • Background in a multi-site, field-based, or acquisition-driven organization where talent programs need to scale across diverse business units
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled talent management solutions, learning management systems (LMS), and instructional design tools
  • Experience facilitating both in-person and virtual learning events for mixed audiences — frontline, management, and executive

What's in It for You

DuraServ invests in people who bring depth, initiative, and the drive to build programs that actually move the business.

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, and 401K with company match
  • Company-provided life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
  • High-visibility role with direct influence on DuraServ's AI Adoption and Enablement Strategy and skills-based talent framework
  • Partnership with senior HR and business leadership on strategic talent priorities across a growing national organization
  • A lean, capable Talent Management team where your contributions are visible and your professional growth is intentional

A Direct Note to the Right Candidate.

Talent management in a growth-stage, acquisition-driven company is not a steady-state role. The programs you build have to work in businesses that just joined the organization. The framework you're implementing is a strategic priority for the CEO. The performance management process you run affects how every team member's contribution is recognized and developed.

If you've built talent programs that scaled, delivered results you can point to, and earned the kind of credibility with leaders that gets you pulled into strategic decisions — this is the role where all of that pays off.

Setting the gold standard of performance starts here. At DuraServ, that is not a tagline — it is the expectation.
