Company Overview

EC Markets is a global financial services provider offering innovative trading solutions to institutional and retail clients. With a strong focus on people, growth, and client-centricity, EC Markets operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where building and sustaining workforce capability is critical to business success.

Role Purpose

The Talent Manager will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, with a core focus on workforce acceleration, talent management, and performance management.

This role is responsible for stimulating workforce capacity — ensuring the organisation has the right people, in the right roles, with the right capabilities and motivation, to meet current and future business needs.

Unlike purely operational HR roles, this position emphasises workforce acceleration, talent strategy, performance frameworks, and the ongoing development of organisational capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Acceleration

  • Speed up time-to-productivity for new hires through structured onboarding and ramp-up plans
  • Identify bottlenecks slowing resourcing, hiring, or team scaling, and drive fixes
  • Partner with managers to fast-track resourcing decisions, restructures, and role changes as business needs shift
  • Champion agile, fast-cycle workforce practices that let teams scale up or reshape quickly

Talent Management

  • Own the end-to-end talent management cycle, including identification, development, and retention of key talent
  • Build and maintain succession plans and talent pipelines for critical and high-impact roles
  • Partner with leaders to identify high-potential employees and design targeted development plans
  • Support talent acquisition strategy to ensure a strong pipeline of future capability

Performance Management

  • Drive robust performance management frameworks focused on clear, measurable outcomes
  • Coach and support managers in setting objectives, giving feedback, and managing underperformance
  • Embed a culture of continuous performance conversations rather than a single annual cycle
  • Track performance trends and use data to inform interventions and recognition

Stimulating Workforce Capacity

  • Identify capability and capacity gaps across teams and design plans to close them
  • Champion upskilling, reskilling, and cross-training initiatives to increase organisational flexibility
  • Support leaders in building scalable, resilient teams ahead of business growth
  • Recommend structural or resourcing changes that improve the organisation's ability to deliver

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Use HR and workforce analytics to provide insight on capacity, performance, and attrition
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations for business leaders
  • Monitor and report on the impact of talent and performance initiatives

Change & Transformation

  • Support organisational change initiatives linked to workforce and capability transformation
  • Ensure effective communication and adoption of new structures, roles, or ways of working
  • Champion a culture of continuous development and organisational agility

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Talent Manager or HR Business Partner with a focus on talent, workforce acceleration, or performance management
  • At least 4+ years relevant HR experience
  • Strong understanding of workforce acceleration, talent management, and performance management practices
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using HR/workforce data to inform decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Desirable

  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or trading environments
  • Knowledge of workforce analytics tools and HR systems
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent
  • Experience in high-growth or international organisations

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based discretionary bonus
  • Pension scheme
  • Professional development and training support
