Talent Sourcer Specialist
Talent Sourcer
Location: Remote
Work Schedule: 9AM–5PM PST, Monday–Friday
Compensation: $2,000- $3,000 USD per month
The Talent Sourcer works under direct supervision and follows company and department policies and procedures to generate qualified candidate pipelines for assigned requisitions. Working from search direction set by the Talent Acquisition Manager and Recruiters, this role executes market research, passive candidate identification, personalized outreach, and initial qualification, delivering screened shortlists for Recruiter review and maintaining accurate pipeline data and sourcing records.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of dedicated sourcing experience in a corporate or agency recruiting environment
- Hands-on LinkedIn Recruiter experience plus at least one additional sourcing or talent intelligence platform
- Sourcing experience in ecommerce, marketplace, supply chain, or high-growth technology organizations preferred
- Depth in a specific lane discipline, commercial and brand or technical and operations, preferred
- Experience contributing to a shared search library or sourcing playbook preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated Boolean proficiency including nested logic, x-ray search, and platform-specific syntax; candidates should expect a live search exercise as part of the interview process
- Proven ability to write outreach copy that generates measurable reply rates, and willingness to be evaluated on that metric
- Working ATS proficiency and disciplined data entry habits
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track reply rate, pass-through, and pipeline coverage and adjust approach accordingly
- Excellent written English, including outreach that reads as personal rather than templated
- Ability to work a shift with sufficient overlap to United States business hours to support same-day follow-up on candidate responses
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential candidate information in accordance with written data protection and security requirements
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment where wearing multiple hats is essential
Non-Negotiables
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms (e.g., HireEZ, SeekOut, Noon.ai)
- Sourcing experience in e-commerce, Amazon marketplace, digital advertising, or supply chain and fulfillment functions
- Experience sourcing across multiple functions, levels, and geographies, including offshore talent markets
- Proficiency with ATS platforms (e.g., JazzHR, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS) and contact enrichment tools
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday or ADP
- Understanding of employment law basics and EEO compliance
Primary Responsibilities
- Through the use of company and department practices and procedures, build the sourcing strategy and channel plan for each assigned requisition
- Construct Boolean search strings and named candidate lists across LinkedIn Recruiter and additional sourcing platforms; this is the central craft of the role and the primary basis of performance evaluation
- Conduct market mapping and talent landscape analysis on stuck requisitions, triggered by SLA breach rather than by escalation
- Maintain and improve the shared Boolean library, contributing reusable search strings by role family
- Write outreach emails and multi-touch campaign sequences tailored to the requisition and the audience
- Execute outreach at volume across InMail, email, and social channels, meeting activity targets set for the assigned requisition load
- Follow up on candidate responses with urgency, recognizing that speed of first reply is the largest lever on outbound conversion
- Track reply rate by sequence and iterate on messaging based on measured performance rather than assumption
- Re-engage silver medalists and prior-requisition pipelines through saved searches and structured campaigns
- Build and nurture passive talent pools for anticipated and recurring roles ahead of requisition approval
- Hand off qualified candidates to the screening stage via ATS stage change with a written summary of fit against the success profile; only candidates the Sourcer would stand behind in an interview are advanced
- Maintain accurate candidate records, source attribution, and stage data so that source-of-hire and cost-per-hire reporting remains reliable
- Participate in weekly calibration with the Talent Acquisition Manager on search quality, outreach craft, and pass-through performance
- Maintain or exceed department-established performance standards, and other duties as assigned
